OVERSEAS EXHIBITORS AT INDIA STONEMART 2003
China, Greece, Italy, Korea, Singapore, Spain, Austria… just a few countries which exhibited
at the India Stonemart 2003, which was inaugurated by Mr
Ashok Gehlot, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Rajasthan.
China,
with more than ten companies, had a major presence at the India
Stonemart 2003. While there were seven companies participating under
the aegis of Stonexpo (P R China), there were others who
were here on an independent basis. Part of the Stonexpo list were
companies like Quanzhou Jinshan Stone Tools Technology Ltd, Zhengzhou
Anhua Abrasives Industrial Co, Lonhai Duoling Saw Blade Co, Sichuan
YiJing ChangYun Super - Hard Material Co, Quanzhou Zhongzhi Diamond
Tool Company, the Beijing Mentougou Chengzi Diamond Factory etc.
``We were here to mainly propagate our expertise in diamond tools,
cutting and finishing tools etc with a variety of applications,''
says George J F Chau, Deputy Director - Expo Department, Stonexpo
(P R China) who felt that Chinese tools provide a high level of
quality as well as value for money.
Italy was
also out in strength at the India Stonemart 2003. Companies like
Breton S.p.A, Pragma srl, Carrara Marmotec, Internazionale Marmi
e Maccine Carrara S.p.A, Pedrini, Bellinzoni, Barsanti Macchine,
Olifer, Pometon, Bidese Impianti were some Italian companies
here. The stone - related products and services offered by them
ranged from processing machines for stones, industrial stone finishing,
technology and systems and services like on - line search engines,
to name a few.
Offering
tools like polishers, routers and graphite grinders is Dongsin
DiAFLX from Korea while Tyrolit Vincent from Austria
offers both diamond tools, saws, abrasive grinding machines as well
as tools for precision machining, processing of building materials
and trade (like bonded and coated abrasives).
Also
present at India Stonemart 2003 was Lazardis Marmor from Greece,
which specializes in marble and Geodis Solutions from France
offers it's logistics expertise. Piedra from Spain was here to scout
for opportunities for its International Natural Stone Fair.
Most
of these companies are not new to India and have participated in
events like the Stonemart 2000. All the companies are quite upbeat
on the response to the Stonemart 2003.
